Polymer Technology Platforms for The Healthcare Market APS has developed and patented a novel and exciting polymer technology platform based upon the use of human serum albumin (HSA). HSA is the main protein component of blood plasma with a high safety record over 60 years and has wide ranging therapeutic and other properties that have yet to be fully exploited. Using novel HSA gel formulations APS is developing a range of products for topical administration to external wounds and in particular chronic non-healing wounds including venous stasis, diabetic and arterial ulcers, pressure sores, chronic surgical/trauma wounds and burns. |
