Scientific Team Dr Wael Nasi PhD (Senior research scientist) An experienced polymer chemist with a PhD in polymer science and specialising in organic chemistry. A lecturing professor at Basra University, undertaking research in the Department of Organic Chemistry. Joined APS in 2003. Ashley Taylor (Research Scientist) A graduate in molecular genetics, with immunological and proteomic experience in biotechnology research and development. Previous experience includes working for the Bioanalysis and Protein Chemistry Departments at Novozymes Biopharma as a Research Assistant with primary role of preparing and characterizing recombinant proteins (eg recombinant human albumin). Dr Alan Quirk Manufacturing and Process Development Consultant Over 20 years of scientific, technical and managerial experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Drug Delivery industries, including the scaling up of the manufacturing process of therapeutic and diagnostic products from laboratory to pilot-plant scale, and the management of facilities compliant in cGMP. |
